Policies & Procedures

XPRT Staffing is committed to providing high-quality healthcare staffing solutions while adhering to industry best practices and regulatory guidelines. Our comprehensive policies and procedures are designed to ensure the safety, competence, and well-being of our assigned employees, our clients, and the patients they serve.

Staffing Practices

Subcontractors

XPRT Staffing will not engage subcontractors to provide assigned employees unless agreed to in advance by the customer.

Floating

Assigned employees may only be placed in assignments that match their job description. If an assigned employee is asked to float to another department, the department must be comparable, and the employee must have demonstrated previous competency and hold the appropriate certifications and credentials.

Competency Review

XPRT Staffing conducts a pre-employment assessment of each assigned employee’s competency based on the techniques, procedures, technology, and skills required to provide care, treatment, and services. Clients are expected to cooperate in reviewing and evaluating the employee’s performance upon completion of the assignment or shift. XPRT Staffing relies on client feedback to assess and reassess the employee’s competence on an ongoing basis.

Orientation

XPRT Staffing provides all new employees with an orientation to the company’s policies and procedures. Clients are responsible for orienting assigned employees to the facility’s rules and regulations, including dress code, physical layout, and equipment, and validating the employee’s competency in using equipment.

Employment Status

XPRT Staffing is the employer of all assigned employees. Assigned employees do not become employees of the client due to their temporary assignment.

Independent Contractors

XPRT Staffing reserves the right to utilize independent contractors, in addition to employees, to assist in providing healthcare staffing services.

Incident Reporting and Management

Incident, Error, and Tracking System

XPRT Staffing documents and tracks all unexpected incidents, including errors, sentinel events, injuries, and safety hazards. This information is shared with clients, regulatory bodies, and the Joint Commission as required.

Communicating Occupational Safety Hazards/Events

Clients are responsible for notifying XPRT Staffing within 24 hours of any competency issues, incidents, or complaints related to an assigned employee. Clients must also initiate communication with XPRT Staffing when an incident/injury report is completed.

Staff Requirements and Matching

Requirements for Staff Specified

The requirements for staff sent to the client are determined by the client and outlined in a written agreement between both parties. XPRT Staffing is committed to supplying staff that meet the client’s requirements, including documented competencies, credentials, health screenings, and experience.

Staff Matching Requirements

XPRT Staffing verifies the licensure, certification, education, and work experience of all assigned employees to ensure they meet the specific requirements of each assignment. This includes, where applicable, new graduate practitioners for allied personnel, non-licensed nursing personnel (sitters, caregivers, and nursing assistants), and licensed nursing personnel. The use of specific personnel categories may be subject to the client’s request or approval.
